On January 25, 2012, Joe & Lucy Lamanna and their family members were honoured at a recognition celebration at York Central Hospital. More than 30 guests attended the plaque unveiling and reception including York Central Hospital staff and physicians as well as Foundation staff and volunteers.
Their event celebrated the recent
success of a charity golf tournament that they organized for Joe’s 70th birthday. The event raised $55,000 towards the Urology Program at York Central Hospital.
They have also supported the Foundation’s Signature Events through sponsorships and donations. Their daughter, Lee Zanetti, is on the Foundation Board of Directors as well as a member of several volunteer committees.
